Sustainability Policy

Planet Expo is dedicated to managing forest resources to fulfill the social, economic, ecological, cultural, and spiritual needs of both present and future generations. To this end, Planet Expo offers wood products traceable to sources with forest management systems that meet international standards for environmental, ecological, biodiversity, social, and economic considerations.

The key goals of its Environmental Policy include:

1) Planet Expo is dedicated to the responsible distribution of wood and wood panel products. It aims to supply forest products from well-managed forests certified by credible standards such as FSC®.

2) Planet Expo consistently opposes the sourcing, distribution, or trade of wood and wood panel products that come from:

- Forests or suppliers that fail to comply with national legislation regarding forest product trade.

- Old-growth forests unless they are moving towards credible certification in a transparent, stepwise, and time-bound manner.

- Protected areas, parks, or similar regions where harvesting is not aligned with responsible forest management.

- Forests being converted to other land uses or those already turned into plantations.

- Forests in conflict zones where the forest products trade funds conflicts.

- Genetically modified trees created through recombinant transgenic techniques.

- Illegally harvested wood.
